Isn’t it great when something goes perfectly to plan! Often I find working to a tight deadline is always the time that I run out of gas for my torch or that stone I really need pings across the room and I spend the next half hour on my hands and knees searching for it! (been there…)
But this ring wasn’t like that! With the ring soldered, it was a quick clean up and then the stones set like a dream! I’ve been extra busy being involved in organising the Peacock Arts Trail* this week but really wanted to take on this commission because I loved the choice of stones by my customer – a yellow sapphire with two different size blue diamonds, scattered across a silver ring – so I was really pleased with the process and the result. With a highly polished finished, the stone colours just pop!
*The Peacock Arts Trail is about to hit its second and final weekend – 7/8 October 2017. It is an open studio event that gives you free entry to a very large number of artist studios and exhibitions. It’s fascinating to see the range of art and talent on display and behind the scenes of its creation. The free brochure is available at all venues as well as many shops, galleries, garden centres and many more throughout the Trail area. www.peacockartstrail.co.uk/exhibitors2017
